Red White and Blueberry muffins: Sugar Free and Low Fat

Kim Brush4 Comments

Berries are the thing here. We recently transplanted over 100 raspberry plants and before that we moved a TON of strawberry plants from the raised bed strawberry patch. This week my daughter has been picking every evening. We’ve got a great start on getting our years worth of strawberries in the freezer. So in honor of Memorial Day and the sweet berries that we’ve been picking, I want to share this low fat sugar-free muffin recipe that we’ve been enjoying. There is even a gluten free version of these Red, White and Blueberry muffins!

Next Garden Adventures:  Blueberries

My yearly goal with our berry patch is to grow enough organic berries that we don't need to buy any in the off-season. In 2016, we did it with strawberries and raspberries!!!! My next garden adventure is to find out if my soil will work for blueberry plants.

Transplanting Raspberry plants for a berry patch

Love berries?  Me too!  I’m so glad that we have a berry patch.  When we moved to our little spot in the country one of my dreams was to grow enough organic berries that I don’t have to buy any at the store!  Last year we did that for raspberries and strawberries!  I’m still working on the blueberry situation.  One of the consequences of having a berry patch is that you get more and more plants!  So this year we HAD to remove some plants or it would become a jungle.

Rag Rug Video Course

A year and a half ago I started to dream BIG. People liked the idea of making rag rugs. TONS of people visit Day to Day Adventures daily to see how it is done! But my dream was to get as many people started with rug making as possible. I wanted to provide the tools that a beginner rug maker needs to get started.  It started small with an eBook and now has developed into a Rag Rug Video Course!

Where to get a wooden needle to make a rag rug

Having the right tools makes a task so much easier! Like having a sharp needle before you start sewing!  Or the right color paper for a scrapbook page! Who wants to stop crafting to go get more supplies because you ran out? Not me. Recently I needed to replace one of my treasured tools, my wooden rug making needle. Thankfully I found a source "close to home" for getting a new one!

You know that stash of craft supplies that you never use?  Maybe you bought them when the ideas were flying and you really mean to get to it but never had the time?  Yeah me too!  I had a little time to do some crafting so I knew that I wanted to use some of my sad neglected supplies out my stash to make these sparkly spring bunny signs!

I had the paint, canvas and glitter just waiting for a project!  I bet that you do to!
