This morning the house is quiet. Everyone is sleeping and my husband has left for work. This is my favorite time of the day. The quiet before the insanity starts.
My to-do list is a mile long and I know already that I won’t get it all done. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed and just not try.
I am a totally lazy housekeeper. If there is a short cut, well I take it.
Time is precious and I’d much rather spend it making progress reading or working out in the garden. In the spring there starts to be less and less housework done because there is so much to do outside.
March and early April are hard on me! We see more sunshine! The temperatures are going up and I’m ready to be outside! But it still frosts and is cold enough for layers in the mornings!
There is a funny contradiction at our house. We own a TON of books. Boxes and boxes.
Steve & I are both readers and have collected our favorites over the years. Plus we've pass this "collecting" on to our children. But there has been a shift in our reading medium in the last few years.
The grass is turning green and the trees are all in bloom so spring is HERE!
I’m super excited to be thinking of seeds, planting and just being out in the fresh air. We've mowed already and I'm anxiously awaiting the apple trees blooming!
Gardening is wonderful therapy for me.
