When my kids were young we always did a “homemade” gift for grandparents and often aunts and uncles. Sometimes we would choose the craft or project for our children but mostly we wanted them to pick something fun they wanted to make. We’ve decorated bags, wrote and illustrated poems, made picture frames, woven baskets and much more. Having your kids create DIY gifts makes their gift giving MUCH more meaningful.
10 care packages for college students (FREE printable)
5 CommentsWe sent our third child off to college this fall (that can’t be right can it?) She lives 2 hours away and that has been quite the BIG adjustment for our family. Our other kids lived in town and at home for college. We miss her but we are having fun making sure that she gets some great care packages as a college student.

4 Comments4 Winter Book Recommendations
4 CommentsWinter is a great time to tackle my "to be read" list of books. My library lets me make a list of "for later" books so I can look and see what is available to be read when I finish a book! Do you have a list like this? Digital or physical? Well I hope that I can add a few titles in with my book recommendations from November! Enjoy!
Brown is beautiful #ColorOurWorld
3 CommentsFall is rapidly heading into winter here in the mid-west. I admit I do not like winter. It’s hard on my attitude. Less sunlight. Less time outdoors due to my not enjoying the cold. Less color and beautiful plants. But wait there is a unappreciated color that we can notice this time of year. Brown is a beautiful basic color that colors the world all around us!
